Chipley Mayor Tracy Andrews held the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. parade on Jan. 16 through downtown Chipley.
The parade was the culmination of a two-day event that began on Saturday, Jan.14 with a day of service. Community members gathered and walked through the city picking up litter and debris.
This year’s theme was, “Together we can be the dream and embrace equity in love for humankind.”
Andrews said she is thankful for those who came out for the day of service.
“I am humbled and grateful for the citizens, business leaders, pastors and various organizations that came out to help with the day of service,” Andrews said. “This act helps our community move forward in unity.”
