The Fitzhugh Carter Foundation has donated to athletics at Chipley High School to fund golf balls for the golf team and new helmets and game balls for the softball team.
The “high-quality balls” will “enable the team to practice and compete at their best, ensuring they are well-prepared for the challenges ahead,” a news release said.
The donation of new helmets and game balls will “provide essential equipment for the softball team, ensuring their safety and enabling them to perform at their peak during practices and games,” the news release also said.
“We are immensely grateful to the Fitzhugh Carter Foundation for their generous support,” Coach Alex Webb said. “Their contribution will make a significant difference in our ability to practice and compete at the highest level. It’s truly inspiring to see the foundation’s commitment to fostering excellence in youth athletics.”
Overall, Chipley High received $30,000.
