A Panama City Beach, woman is behind bars on drug charges after a traffic stop in Wausau.
A Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 77 in Wausau, on February 11.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 21-year-old Mallori Nichole Hollis, of Panama City Beach and as deputies spoke with her a K-9 was deployed to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle. The K-9 gave a positive alert to the presence of narcotics.
Hollis and a passenger were questioned about the presence of illegal items in the vehicle to which Hollis responded, “there is marijuana in the center console.”
WCSO then conducted a search of the vehicle and located a syringe. According to WCSO, Hollis stated the syringe contained methamphetamine when asked by deputies.
Also found in the search were other controlled substances and a glass smoking pipe.
A field test indicated positively for methamphetamine inside of the syringe.
