A Chipley couple is behind bars after an investigation concerning accusations of child neglect through drug use conducted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. The couple was arrested on March 14.
Washington County Sheriff’s Office Investigators were contacted by Department of Children and Families (DCF) earlier in March to accompany them to a residence on Wild Rose Lane. DCF reported the children connected with the investigation disclosed they had smoked marijuana with their parents.
WCSO Investigators made contact with the parents, 30-year-old Kristina Marie Sullivan and 26-year-old Robert Francis Sullivan regarding the accusations of drug use of their four children under the age of 12. Further investigation determined the Sullivan’s prepared drugs and allowed their children to use drugs on several occasions.
The Sullivans are both charged with four counts of child neglect.
The children have been removed from the home and placed with family members.
WCSO says the investigation is ongoing and further charges may be pending.
