The Washington County Chamber of Commerce was in the holiday spirit all day Dec. 15 and held two festive functions for its members.
The first event was the Christmas Open House social held at the Chamber office. The space received an upgrade of new furniture for the buildingÂ’s lobby where guests could hang out by the Christmas tree. The real fun was in the conference room where tables full of hors d’oeuvres and sweets were set up. Guests enjoyed a selection of meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, finger sandwiches, meatballs, cheese dip, chips and a plethora of homemade desserts.
Later Thursday evening, Chamber members gathered at ChipleyÂ’s new Sullivan House Bed & Breakfast for the Chamber Business After Hours networking event. It was the first time many got to see and tour the inside of the historical home thatÂ’s undergone a renovation to become a welcoming place to spend the night and enjoy a delicious breakfast right near downtown.
This monthÂ’s after hours was sponsored by Elite Realty. The night included another spread of good eats, such as bacon wrapped water chestnuts and a Lowcountry shrimp boil, and an array of soda, beer and wine.
The ChamberÂ’s next event will be the third Thursday monthly membership luncheon. For more information about the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, visit www.washcomall.com.
