Vernon defeats Freeport 22-19

The Vernon Yellow Jackets overcame a 19-6 halftime deficit to defeat the Freeport Bulldogs, 22-19.  

Senior Ryan Scott led the Jackets with 299 yards of total offense and #10 sophomore Caden Hammock had a total of 6 tackles (2 for a loss) and a fumble recovery for the defense.  

The win improves Vernon to 2-2 on the season. The Yellow Jackets play at Holmes County (3-1) this Friday at 7 p.m.
