Chipley, Vernon Girls Weightlifting Team members qualify for state

Members of the Girls Weightlifting Team at Chipley and Vernon High School are seeing the results from pumping iron.

Several members have qualified for the state competition on Saturday, Feb. 17, in Lakeland.

The qualifying girls in Vernon are Tamia Potter, Autumn Sheffield, Kamryn Thomas, and Jonei Gordon.

Over in Chipley, the sole team member is Jaci Renfro. 

The teams will be raising money with a car wash on Sunday, Feb. 11, at Advance Auto Parts in Chipley (1160 Main Street) from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
