Dollar General announced a store is being relocated to 3448 Elkcam Blvd. in Sunny Hills, which will have an updated store format.
The Market store plans to provide customers an “expanded selection” of fresh meats, fruits and vegetables, as well as the usual DG categories, brands, and products.
“We are excited to provide Chipley residents with our new DG Market format and look forward to welcoming customers to our recently-relocated location,” Dollar General’s Senior Vice President of real estate and store development Matthew Simonsen said in a prepared statement. “At Dollar General, we are committed to serving our customers with a pleasant shopping experience and strive to be a good corporate citizen.”
The Market format “aims to provide the Chipley community with an updated design and closer access to fresh foods and a convenient location to purchase the items they want and need at everyday low prices,” Simonsen said.
“We hope our customers will enjoy the new store,” he said.
Another Dollar General Store for Chipley at 1330 Jackson Avenue is under construction and has attracted criticism from some community members on social media due to the proliferation of stores in the area.
