Current Washington County Supervisor of Elections Deidra Pettis announced her campaign for this year’s election to remain in the position. She has served since her appointment by Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2023.
Throughout her almost two decades in service to Washington County, Deidra said she has demonstrated “unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity, setting a standard of excellence in day to day operations, and with her most recent appointment, ensuring that all elections are conducted fairly, securely, and transparently.”
“I am deeply honored to have served as your Supervisor of Elections,” she said. “Following my appointment to this office by our governor, I have worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth and successful election process. It is critical that every staff member in your elections office is committed & skilled at ensuring voter security, voter education, & voter engagement. That was my promise on day one and it will remain my top priority.”
Pettis said she is committed to serving the people of Washington County, every single day, with honesty, efficiency, and dedication.
“I humbly ask for your support as we continue this important work together,” she said.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Deidra is a devoted wife to her husband Ronald of 35 years, a loving mother to Dalton, and a proud nana to Leighton and Weston.
She said her campaign emphasizes that her family values and deep-rooted ties to our community are evident in everything she does.
