Staring at the sun: Locals, visitors view solar eclipse at Washington County Public Library

Though Chipley wasn’t in the path of totality and full view for the solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, locals and visitors still dropped by the Washington County Public Library branch on Highway 90 to catch a glimpse.

Viewers donned special gazes and gazed at the sky from the Chipley branch parking lot, joining many other spectators across the world.

The Library hosted the watch party, as well as family activities inside.
