Bomb threat called in to area schools

**UPDATE TWO**

All CHS, RMS and WAVE students have been safely evacuated to Kate M. Smith Elementary School.

Students who ride the bus will catch the bus at KMS. Pick-up students can be picked up in front of KMS using the South Boulevard entrance.  Students who drive will be escorted back to the CHS campus to retrieve their vehicles.

**UPDATE**

 Investigators with the WCSO have identified the call as a Robo Call (automated) type call.  Other counties and schools have also experienced this same type of call recently. Information will be updated as it’s available.  Washington County Sheriff Kevin Crews and staff are on scene now at Chipley High School. . All students and faculty have been evacuated safely from CHS, Roulhac Middle School and WAVE School. No vehicles will be allowed to leave or enter the parking lots at this time. We will continue to update you as information is available.

Chipley High School is under a full lockdown after a bomb threat was called in.

According to Washington County Superintendent Joe Taylor, all students have been evacuated to the baseball fields behind the school.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching the campus for any suspicious items. First responders are on scene as well.

Marianna High School and Chipola College have reportedly also received the same threat.
