Chipley High School graduates and local barber shop owners Kyle Aycock (KuttaKyle) and Jamar Franklin (FLAChoppers) partnered with Cut and Dye of Graceville to offer free haircuts to all Washington County Students,
K-12.
Both Aycock and Franklin were born and raised in Chipley and are thrilled to be able to give back to their community by offering free back-to-school haircuts.
This event is completely free and will be held in the Chipley High School Gymnasium, from 8:30 a.m. till 5:30 p.m. on August 4.
“I hope to make this a yearly event, because Chipley is my home town,†said Aycock. “If there is a good enough turnout, I hope to be able to offer free haircuts at other events as well. When I asked Jamar and others to do
this, they jumped on board. It’s great to have friends that are willing to give back this wayâ€.
Franklin comes from a family of stylists, his mother, and even his son in college is following in the family footsteps. Franklin says, “He wants to encourage all K-12 students to come out and meet all the professionals at the event.â€
This event is being held during CHS orientations, so stop by and get a cut while you’re on campus.
School starts Thursday, August 10, come get ready for the fi rst day with those great free haircuts offered by our local hair stylists.
