On Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 4, Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Chipley Police Department attempted a traffic stop near Martin Luther King Drive and Highway 90, in Chipley.

A Washington County man was arrested after eluding law enforcement shortly after 2 PM yesterday afternoon. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as 34-year-old Andrew Fitzgerald Barnes, failed to stop.
