Official ribbon untying held for courthouse solar tree

Florida Power and Light (FPL) held official ribbon untying ceremonies at the Washington County Courthouse Thursday for the solar tree “planted” on the grounds by FPL. The green ribbon was untied instead of cut so it can be reused in keeping with FPL’s focus on recycling and renewable energy. FPL External Affairs Manager Tracy Andrews says she is excited for the community to learn more about solar energy. “When people visit the courthouse, they can scan a QR code and learn about solar energy,” she said. “We are excited to bring solar opportunities to our community.”
