A Chipley woman is behind bars after being reported as a reckless driver.
On April 2, around 10:45 p.m. the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a gray Chrysler being driven in a reckless manner on Highway 79.
WCSO located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The driver. identified as 50-year-old Mary Jane Olsen, was asked to exit her vehicle when deputies saw a syringe on the center console in plain view.
K-9 Hamilton conducted a perimeter search of the vehicle and gave a positive alert at the front passenger door. An interior search of the vehicle found methamphetamine, a digital scale, THC tablet, Xanax, and two glass pipes. A search of Olsen’s person also found methamphetamine.
Olsen is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
