A shooting that took place in January and left one dead, has been deemed as a justifiable use of force by the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit State Attorney Office and the Medical Examiner’s Office after working closely with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office reviewing circumstances and evidence in the case.
Just a few days after the new year began, a call came into WCSO around 2:45 a.m. in reference to a domestic related shooting at a residence on Tiger Trail. When officers arrived on scene, it was determined the wife had shot and killed her husband.
The wife cooperated with the investigation which led to her being exonerated.
