Church and neighbors unite for annual Community Prayer Walk

CHIPLEY – Scores of local residents came out Saturday, October 23, for the annual Community Prayer Walk.

This year’s theme was “Walking in Prayer,” with pastors from several Washington County churches taking turns to pray for specific needs at each stop.

The walk started at Yes Lord Deliverance Ministries, where Earl Robinson kicked off the walk with the “Prayer of Unity.”

The next stops were the “Prayer of Justice” led by Pastor Tim Brigham at the Washington County Courthouse; the “Prayer of Protection,” led by Pastor Leonard Blount at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office; “Prayer of Education,” led by Pastor Tim Bush at the Washington County School District Office; “Prayer of Economic Development,” led by Pastor Roy Corbitt at at the Chamber of Commerce and finally, the “Prayer of Community,” led by Pastor Mark Glover at the Chipley Farmers Market.

Organizers said the event was a way to bring the community together for a positive, common purpose.
