A 17-year-old male driver is dead after he lost control of his vehicle while traveling eastbound on Collins Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The single-vehicle wreck occurred on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 8:02 p.m. The driver is from the local area and was unidentified in an incident report.
Several other passengers sustained severe injuries.
The crash occurred when the vehicle was said to have overturned after running off the road.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle while it was overturning, the FHP said.
