VERNON- On May 11, a Vernon woman was arrested after an extensive investigation by the Washington County SheriffÂ’s Office concerning a rash of storage unit burglaries that began in July 2020. Ashley Luan Bennett, 35, of Vernon, was arrested and booked into Washington County Jail on burglary charges.
According to WCSO, Bennett admitted to selling several of the items in a yard sale as well as pawning some items at local pawn shops. WCSO also stated that some of the stolen items were recovered from BennettÂ’s home.
Investigators are pursuing leads in this case and Washington County News will continue to update as information becomes available.
